2nd of July's story

2nd of July has triggered some memories, memories about the first few days when I was accepted as Pre TESL student three years ago...

as usual new students will be attended Minggu Mesra Siswa (MMS) for a week and it was exhausting. and as new student, there's nothing you could do to escape MMS ( did anyone succeed to escape actually?) but we did for the first few hours after registering (me and my roomates, Wan and Bja-three of us were carried away by chit-chatting and etc)

and during one night, all of sudden, all PMs (pembantu mahasiswa/wi) were angry with our behaviours and bla bla bla and they called several names, claimed that these people are rebellious and had commited some faults and etc and my name was called! I was shocked to death because I was sitting at the last row and I had to walk to the front of the hall and standing, facing about nearly thousand of new students in front of me! then, they started yelling and screaming and throwing some luggage and had threatened to send us home. I remembered Bos (my TESL senior) said to me that I had humiliated TESL's name as well as my parents' name and honestly speaking I was furious at that moment because my parents aren't supposed to responsible for all my wrongdoings!

Then, after all the dramas, tears, yelling and screaming, the PMs suddenly sang Allah Selamatkan Kamu song and I was like "WTH!" my birthday was five months ago and why was I celebrated? and they explained that this was for July's babies! t tried to deny it several times and they just asked me to accept the gift...do you know why? because they reffered to IC no. and and took the 07 at the back! mine is 880207-xx-xxxx and they assumed that I'm a July baby! that's the end of the story! :) my birthday was celebrated twice that year ;)

p/s: holidays will end soon! so sad! :((
